GEOMETRIA designed the renovation of new premises for the Embassy of Finland in Tel Aviv, Israel. The new Embassy is located in one of Tel Aviv’s business districts, on the 31st floor of a 35 floors high office building, where the Embassy is occupying an almost entire floor. The design was a collaboration with Himla architects and the Kakadu interior design office.
The main goal was to design functional and modern office and reception spaces that fulfil the needs of the Embassy. The public reception spaces are characteristically Finnish that is, simple and light. The open lobby area is dominated by a 15m long wooden relief wall, representing the Aurora Borealis, also known as the Northern lights. The integrated luminaires dynamically display the Northern lights as a light show.
