’Sotkanmuna’ is the wooden heart of the Finnish Nature Center – Haltia. The exhibition structure holds the work ’Peliteoria’ by artist Osmo Rauhala.
The asymmetrical frame consists of about 600 individual beams, with varying lengths from half to two metres. There are no separate structural pieces in the joints of the pavilion, but all the joints are directly milled to the wooden beams. The shape of the shell forms a stiff structure, which enabled the erection to happen without supports.
